Our Chikankari pieces are hand-embroidered by skilled artisans on fine handloom fabric. Each piece is made slowly and thoughtfully, and with the right care, will remain beautiful for years to come.

To help preserve the embroidery and texture, please follow these care guidelines:

- Dry cleaning is recommended for the best results.
- If washing at home, hand wash separately or machine wash on a delicate cycle in cold water using a mild, non-bio detergent.
- Do not wring, rub, or twist the fabric to protect the embroidery.
- Avoid soaking or leaving the fabric wet for long periods.
- Air dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Avoid bleach and fabric softeners.
- Gently reshape while damp and air dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight.
- Iron on low heat on the reverse side if needed.

The subtle black or brown specks you may notice are the natural husks of cotton seeds. Since our fabric is woven from organic, hand-spun cotton, these tiny flecks are a mark of purity and sustainability, not imperfections.

Please note that, as this fabric is organic, slight irregularities and variations in colour or texture may occur. These are inherent to the weaving and finishing of natural fibres. Occasionally, you may find minor surface marks that will wash off. Differences between batches are also possible, as each piece reflects the unique character of the organic cotton from which it is made.
